Gibson / Les Paul Custom / 1983 / White / Guitar

1983 Gibson Les Paul Custom in White anyone?

This guitar is in great condition. The finish has faded a little and there are patches of minor wear and a few knocks but on a whole the guitar is excellent.

The neck shows some signs of wear and has faded like the body. The Ebony fretboard is in great shape as are the frets. The guitar has been refretted and a new nut has been fitted which is why there is a little damage to the lacquer. The headstock is in good shape too. The tuners are the Gibson Deluxe “Crank” button variety.

The hardware is factory nickel and slightly tarnished as you'd expect. There is no sign of any corrosion.

Electrically everything is correct and untouched, Tim Shaw humbuckers and pot codes that read week 28 of 1983.

The guitar comes with a hard-shell case.

We are quick to discount Les Pauls from this period as blunt instruments, without some of the finesse of their predecessor. This guitar, though this does weigh in at a reasonable 5kgs, is still as dynamic and possesses the tonal gravitas that you've come to expect. By no means a PAF loaded burst, this  guitar has a tone all of its own that doesn’t disappoint.

Looks and tone to die for, what more could you want?
