Gibson / Les Paul Custom "Special Order" / 1984 / Cherry Sunburst Finish / Guitar

This is a super clean example of Gibson’s early 80’s period when they started making better guitars across the board. purchased from its original owner, this is a rare “Hair Band” special order w/a factory gold Gibson Kahler Tremolo unit w/a matching nut. Its Cherry’burst finish is quite lovely over a nice maple top. Its see-thru cherry red finished back shows slight button marks but nothing thru the finish. She’s sporting 2 original Pat.# stamped pickups (lead pickup in it is a Pearly Gates w/its original in its case), original pots w/a nice black pickgard, tun-a-matic bridge & stop tailpiece. Its Gibson stamped Schaller Tuners hold tune well. At this time Gibson was bitched at thru the 70’s for using 2 piece sandwiched bodies, but this one having a solid 1 piece mahogany body w/a great feeling maple neck. She’s truly near mint, quite rare & comes w/a nice original black molded hard case.
