Here is a very nice 1972 Gibson Les Paul Deluxe with the desirable 'Gibson' embossed mini humbuckers. In fact this is probably one of the nicest sounding LP Deluxe's we have had... check out the YouTube video.
It is all original except the two CTS volume pots were replaced in 1978 - like for like. Everything else is totally straight including the factory original frets wide with plenty of life still left on them.
Included is a very nice original case with the dark purple lining and 'Gibson' logo on the outside.
Paintwork is excellent, almost near mint and just has a few minor dings here and there. The gold is still very vibrant and has not started to flake or turn green like so many from this period do. Back is very clean too with no buckle rash at all and no wear on the back of the neck.
​Playing wise, it is very well set up with a nice low action and a perfectly balanced sound from it's two cool sounding humbuckers. If you are looking for an early 70's Deluxe like Pete Townsend did, this is a prime example... Just don't smash this one up!
