Near MINT classic Gibson Les Paul Deluxe with embossed pickup covers and original case. Probably one of the finest I have seen and a beautiful gold top finish.
I am struggling to recall if I have had a finer condition early 70's Les Paul Deluxe than this.... probably not. It is without a doubt, near mint and 100% original, no excuses guitar which aside from a few very minor marks and some clearcoat worming on the back, could have just stepped out of a time machine!
The gold finish is pretty much unmarked and un faded, as is the back. The frets have hardly any wear at all and same for the fingerboard. It looks like it has had a very easy life, mostly spent under the bed. Wish I could say the same for myself...
It plays really well too and sounds as good as any Les Paul Deluxe I have heard. Pickups are nice and strong and are the classic 'Gibson' embossed pickups normally seen in 1971 and 1972 making this an early 1973 build and probably using up some of the last Gibson embossed pickup covers.
Neck is medium profile and weight is 4.6Kg
Even the chrome hardware has hardly aged on this beautiful guitar and it stands out head and shoulders above the rest of the early 70's Deluxe out there.
