Gibson / Les Paul Deluxe / 1980 / Sunburst / Guitar
Not something we would normally buy but as soon as we flipped the case lid of this amazing guitar and that rich, vibrant sunburst popped out at us, we knew we had to have it.
This is without a doubt the nicest, cleanest and nearest to MINT you can get, Les Paul Deluxe you will probably ever see...
It is a 1980 model with a typical Nashville build, maple neck and mahogany body and must have been some of the last, original series, Les Paul Deluxe to be made before they discontinued them in 1981.
It is totally unfaded and looks like it is just a few months old let alone 37 years old. It came from the same fastidious collector as our 1973 goldtop LP Deluxe and it must be said, he does have very good taste in LP Deluxe's...
Again, 100%, no issues, no excuses guitar that is almost museum grade quality. Even the original type II chainsaw case is near mint and has no broken clasps which is rare to see.
Like our 73 Deluxe, it plays real well, sounds Deluxe classic and has hardly any wear at all. Just a small amount of clearcoat worming on the back, just like the other one.
Neck is medium profile and weight is 4.6Kg
If you are looking for a starter vintage guitar for your mint collection this could well be an ideal candidate...
