1973 Gibson Les Paul Deluxe - Goldtop / HB-Conversion
The only Les Paul whith humbucking PUs was the Custom, so if someone wanted a Standard with HBs he had to convert a LP Deluxe. They routed the PU-cavitys and mounted PU-rings and humbuckers in there, otherwise the guitar is innear excellent condition with almost no playwear, the original frets have been changed to jumbos. The gold finish has no visible playwear or oxidation, no weathercheckings! Except for the PUs, all electronic is original and untouched, all 4 pots are dated 1973, the PUs installed now are Gibson Classic 57/57+. Great player, great sound and lightweight. Get a 40 year old vintage Gibson guitar for less than a new Custom Shop Les Paul, ..guess which one sounds better? Incl. orig. black Gibson hardshell case w/orange lining.
