Gibson / Les Paul Goldtop / 1952 / Goldtop / Guitar
1952 Gibson Les Paul Goldtop incl. orig. Gibson brown Case
Super clean 1952 Gibson Les Paul Goldtop all original and in excellent condition. First year for the Les Paul model, still without serial number and with the early Trapeze bridge/-tailpiece combination. The original tailpiece remains in the case and the much better working Mojoaxe Tailpiece is installed which makes it play great. The instrument has only very minor playwear - mostly on the backside of the body and on the fretboard. It has the typical weather checking and the original frets are still in great shape - it must have been played with flatwound strings. The neck is full and round ... but not too chunky and very comfortable to play. The top carve is excatly what you'd expect from a 50s Goldtop: Nowhere near what you see after the Golden Era, very deep and curved. The two P-90 "Soap-bars" have well balanced outputs of N=8,15K and B=8,04K and sound superb in that guitar. The 4 IRC pot dates are 2-16 (16th week of 1952). Great light weight with of only 3,94Kg. Comes in it's original Gibson brown hardshell case with pink lining.
