This IS a very cool guitar… This is a LOVELY original pre-Historic 1980 1981 Gibson Les Paul Heritage Series Standard 80 Elite with it's original hard shell case and documentation including it’s original manual with serial number.

It is in totally superb condition and is a very nice looking guitar too. The loely cherry sunbust still has it’s deep colour and this one even has some nice patches of flame on the top which is comparaitevely rare as the ‘Elite’ version of this re-issue were usually a quilted top.

This was Gibson’s first real stab at a Burst re-issue way back in 1980 and was only made between 1980-1982. The Elite version foeatures a one piece body, 2 piece maple top, one piece neck, a totally gorgeous ebony fingerboard and some of the finest post PAF pickups Gibson ever made - original Tim Shaw rubber stamped humbuckers. 

As you can see from the pictures it is in very nice condition, there are just a few small dings here and there plus some wear on the edges but nothing too serious. Original case is also in good condition but the handle is missing. Guitar plays, feels and sounds fantastic, there is no doubting that and if you have never played one of these now, 34 year old classics you are in for a treat and you will soon be able to tell why they command a strong following which is increasing all the time...

There is virtually no wear at all on the lovely, original frets. Serial number is 80481561 and everything is original apart from one pot that was replaced later in the 80’s, original pot is still in the case pocket. Weight is 4.7Kg.

I will be very sad to see this go… It is wonderful guitar and will be sorely missed and is my favourite guitar to just have around and play at the moment.
