Now available on consignment, a well played late 1955 Gibson Les Paul Junior in its original sunburst finish!
This example remains in very original condition still having its original tuner tips, nut and frets (worn but in surprisingly playable condition).
Like many early juniors this has had a repair at the bridge studs at some stage, they have been replaced with original later 50s 1" thread studs vs the 1/2" thread that was factory until 1956.
Otherwise this guitar is free from any other breaks or repairs and retains nearly all of its original parts. The neck is straight, with the guitar having a low action and great sustain from the original dogear p90. There is plenty of finish wear and checking to the original finish, and there is some cracking to the original knobs as well.
A fantastic well played 50s single cut junior! Includes a correct mid 50s alligator softshell case.
