Gibson / Les Paul Junior / 1959 / Cherry / Guitar
This is a Superb original Gibson 1959 vintage Les Paul Junior double cutaway in beautiful faded cherry red which apart from one small screw hole by the jack plate is all original, including frets and has the classic ’59 neck profile for a classic vintage Gibson year.
It has typical player wear with a good vibe, no breaks, no repairs ad no finish issues, no over spray or anything like that just good old natural relicing that only time and players can achieve.
Serial number is 9 7642 an it is no excuses, vintage 1959 Les Paul that because of that one hole by the jack cup is very reasonably priced. Also included is a non original hard case.
All hardware and electrics are original and it plays well, good intonation and a killer vintage P-90. Weight is just 3.1Kg and it has a nice, classic, medium chunky, 59 profile neck. There is a bit of fret wear on the first few positions but nothing too serious and it is still very playable in my opinion.
There are a few dings here and there, some checking all over including some by the tailpiece and at some stage it looks as if a different jack plate has been installed hence that one extra screw hole (see photos). There are no routes or anything like that by the jack plate.
