Gibson / Les Paul Junior / 1960 / Cherry / Guitar
Sometimes just three chords and a '59 spec unfaded, early 1960 Gibson Les Paul Junior is all you need, especially a killer example with the original case and even has some original tags!
Classic pairing of mahogany and cherry finish in a stunning package. The top hasn’t faded at all it seems and though there are a few very minor bumps and scrapes, these don't detract from the look of the guitar.
The neck has a full on 59 profile. There is no real wear on the back of the neck and no signs of any breaks. The fretboard is in great condition and the original frets have plenty of life left in them. The decal is still strong and there has never been other tuners fitted.
The tortoiseshell pickguard and pickup cover are in great shape as are the knobs. The bridge is correct and there is no sign of any repairs.
Electrically everything is correct. The solder joint on the back of the volume pot looks to have been reheated but elsewhere nothing else looks to be undisturbed. The pickup looks to have escaped any issues.
Included is the correct soft 'gator case which is becoming increasingly difficult to find and this one is one of the cleanest we have seen of recent times. Also included are hang tags plus an original strap.
What can we say about these guitars that you don’t already know? Incredibly versatile for an instrument with so few options. The controls are very interactive, coaxing out a wide palette of tones. These guitars are incredibly popular for a reason.
You know you need one and they don’t all look as good as this one! Grab it before its gone…
