Gibson / Les Paul R9 Murphy Yamano Burst / 2005 / Sunburst / Guitar

This is a JAW DROPPING and stunning Gibson Les Paul R9 Historic from 2005 - Murphy finished and aged plus Yamano hand picked with it's original hard shell case and COA, documentation etc and even has a few original 1959, parts plus some hardware upgrades.

It is in totally superb condition and is one of the finest guitars I have owned. I have had this for nearly 8 years now and am the second owner. I have brought it to many guitar shows where it has been a massive crowd puller, fooling MANY people that it is a real ’59 burst. If you were one of those people, then I am sorry but it is just so convincing and the flame, finish tc is extremely realistic.

Parts that have been upgraded include RS Guitar works aged Kluson tuners and bushings, Martin Six String Custom's amazing ‘Holy Grail’ wiring harness with real 50’s bumble bee caps. RS guitar works aged ABR-1, stop tail and switch tip. Dead Mint Club (Japan) toggle ring and jack socket plate. Montreaux's expensive pickup rings and pick guard. REAL 1959 strap buttons and tailpiece studs.

All of these upgrades can be reversed if required and I still have most of the original parts that came with the R9 in a bag including all the plastic, tuners, tailpiece and bridge. The cost of these upgraded parts alone was over $1,000 so you are getting a cool deal here!

I think you would be hard pressed to find a finer one, particularly one that looks so authentic. Guitar is actually a Historic tobacco burst in shade. Some of the pics make it look more cherry sunburst but it is the traditional and desired tobacco burst.

It plays really well too with virtually no wear at all on the lovely, original frets. Serial number is 9 5928 and all the important documents are there including the COA signed by Tom Murphy amoungst others and all the docs to prove this guiitar was a hand chosen Yamano designated model. Not all advertised Yamano guitars include this and they should otherwise you cannot prove it. Weight is 4.1Kg and pickups are the original Burstbuckers that actually do sound very nice!
