Gibson / Les Paul Special TV / 1956 / TV Yellow / Guitar
This is a SUPERB vintage original with no breaks 1956 Gibson Les Paul Special in original TV limed mahogany finish that has all the iportant bits right like original finish, no overspray, no breaks and is nearly all original.
It is very good condition, as you can see it has been played and there is some dings and some checking but it really does look very cool, it is all solid, stable, sounds terrific with 2x original P-90 pickups and plays well too with nice action on the original 1956 frets! Included is a non original hard shell case.
There has never been any kind of Maestro, Vibrola or any other tone destroying tailpiece ever fitted to this guitar and there has never been any headstock or neck/body joint repair. It has a couple of small touch ups near the bridge pins - this is common on 1956 Juniors etc and was part of a cure for leaning bridge studs. It is minor as you can see in the photos.
All hardware is original and all electrics are original including pots and caps etc. Two of the tuners have bent shafts but all of them work fine even though the buttons have shrunk a bit.
Pickups are original and sound great as are all pots and capacitors. All together a great, straight guitar with good life left on original frets, plays very well and is a very resonant guitar acoustically, great fun to just pick up and play.
Serial number is 6 3352 and it has a nice fat, typical 1956 neck. Weight is a mere 3.6Kg.
