It's well known that we are huge fans of weight, tops and tone when it comes to the mighty Les Paul and this guitar falls right in line with those requirements. The slim 60's neck feels like melted butter and the "sit" of the guitar is perfect, denoting great balance. It weighs in at 8 lbs, 6 oz and I really don't even need to mention how it sounds plugged in, or maybe I do. Nice, full and aggressive tone for days and she cleans up nicely when you roll off of that volume a tad. You could certainly say it's a charming guitar and we found the top especially interesting. The strand of wide ribbon in the middle just sets it off, like it's an anomaly or maybe the tree was in a hurricane at some time in it's life. In any case, it's an excellent guitar and for under 2k, you can outfit yourself with a professional grade instrument that will do as you asks.
