Gibson / Les Paul Standard - Burst! / 1960 / Sunburst (Lemon Drop) / Guitar
1960 Gibson Les Paul Standard - Sunburst
Super clean early 1960 Gibson "Burst" whith all 1959 apointments such as the 59-neck-profile, hat-knobs and single-line Klusons and faded finish. This guitar is in excellent condition for its age and has no weatherchecking only minor playwear and some beltbuckle-rush on the backside of the body. The Guitar has had a Epiphone Tremtone vibrato-tailpiece at one time, which screwholes have been closed with MOP-inlays. The centerseem maple-top has a very strong and equal flame, the sunburst finish has now faded to a nice lemon-drop.
The two strong PAF humbucker pickups have their covers off, to show their douple-white bobbins. The PAFs have a reading of 8,23 K-Ohm for the neck- and 8,67 K-Ohm for the bridge pickup. All 4 pot-dates are matching and dated 137.9.36. Great opportunity to get a nice, clean and greatsounding burst with an outstanding flametop and great history well documented way back to 1979, when it was bought from Norms Rare Guitars. The guitar has appeared in Vic DaPras Books Bursbelievers I (pg. 64), Burstbelievers - "The Out Takes" (pg.13), Sunburst Alley (pg.65) and the german Guitar&Bass "Gibson Special Edition" from 2002 (pg. 36/37)
Comes incl. original brown case with pink lining.
