Gibson / Les Paul Standard Gold Top 1 Pc / 1969 / GGold Top / Guitar

This is the 2nd one of this exact variety that i have had in the last few months with one exception. The rare variant of the DARK BACK that you so rarely see even in the 1950s let alone these late 1960s Gold Tops. SEE BLACK LIGHT SHOTS!!! No volute or USA!! Weighing in at a mere 9 lbs 4 oz's (9+1/4) this beauty is another absolutely amazing example of what late 60s Gold Tops enthusiasts call the earliest of the "Middle" era. Middle era meant ONE piece body and the earliest of the 3 pc necks. Only the very first batch of these received P-90s. 1 piece Honduras ... Hide glue ... all the RIGHT stuff!!! BALLSY guitar with a nice big almost 1958 size neck! Shortly after the 3 pc neck came the MINI humbuckers with the exception of the very earliest. Soon after that the sandwich or pancake body was introduced beginning a newer (heavier) era. This guitar is all original except the jack plate. Frets appear to be factory with a moderate amount of life left. Pots codes are visible on at least 2 of the 4 originals with codes that read 13769XX. (XX is covered by solder) A serial # 836XXX that was ONLY released in 1969. With 2 hot P-90s a nice full neck feel and a voice that will KILL this original beauty comes with an unusual case. They came with the rectangular cases BUT i have ever only seen 2 with the body contour added internally. Improv'd handle.

Payment: PayPal, Cash, Personal Check, Money Order/Cashier's check, Wire transfers or Western Union. Pay Pal, Credit Cards through Pay Pal only, and wire transfers are offered as a convenience for far away buyers and all extra expenses are the customer's responsibilty. Theres not enough profit in Vintage guitars to pay out 4% additional. Any time that a deposit is taken for any special arrangements or "holds" it is non refundable. To have these rules work in your favor all transactions need to be completed or deposited on w/in 5 days.

Shipping: Buyer pays shipping. Shipping will be determined on a case by case basis so as to include size, weight, distance, insured amount and method requested. Shipping is paid by customer both ways on any returns.

Returns: All parties buying through the mail or offsite are allowed a 24 hour approval/inspection period on ALL guitars, unless discussed otherwise, to make sure they are keeping their purchase (but not amps to keep shipping delicate amps back and forth to a minimum and not on parts either ... too many guys doing "switcharoo's" or wrecking them trying to install them and then trying to send them back ... sorry ... you have to reap the behavior of so many others). Buyer pays shipping. Payments must be received within 5 working days of anything placed on HOLD. When you receive the guitar your 24 hour return includes 1 day to receive it and approve or not and you must contact me. Don't just put it in the mail ..... and 2 extra days (72 hours total time) to resend it and I require a tracking number back from the customer the day of shipping and gladly supply the same to customer upon request and orig sale. I do strictly adhere to these rules. I don't mean to sound tough here but you would be amazed at the liberties taken in recent past! Thanks for your understanding and adherence. ALL Outside the USA sales are final due to extended "visits" through customs and some countries laxed attitude about shipping on time.
