Here’s a very rare All Gold version of these early Les Paul Gold Stop. And our instrument is even rarer as it has a superb playing comfort and tone, definitely without a doubt the best old Les Paul we have ever played. Completely original with no change, modification, break or repair, this Gibson Les Paul Standard Gold Top All Gold from 1952 is currently mounted with a MojoAxe trapeze (the original trapeze is in the original case) perfectly playable, and above all adjustable, with good margin both in the truss rod and on the bridge screws.
This splendid Les Paul Standard All Gold shows no breaks or repairs, no cracks or notorious damage, only small minor chips of finish. The beauty is definitely not a case queen and it’s much better that way, as the playwear and weather checks make these old Les Paul Gold Tops superb and unique.
The electronic is entirely original original P90 pickups, high output level, balanced and delivering much fuller and rounder tones than modern versions. Plus, the action of the tone knobs on this Les Paul is fantastic, it’s amazing what you can do with it. The original mechanics, perfectly functional, have a superb patina and the buttons, also original, do not suffer from any defect. Also, our guitar is a lightweight one, it’s simply fantastic.
