Gibson / Les Paul Standard Limited Edition / 2004 / Pacific Reef / Guitar
Hi there. For offer is my 2004 Gibson Les Paul Standard Limited Edition in Pacific Reef finish.
This guitar looks great as you can see, but does have a few dings from use. The most serious of these is an apparent neck break that has been professionally repaired - the break cannot have been through the neck as the binding is all still intact on both sides of the headstock - in fact the only reason that I noticed it is tha the headstock has been relacquered in Black whereas the rest of the reverse is a navy coloured lacquer. You can clearly see the signs of the paint refinish in the 2nd picture - the one of the reverse of the neck just below the headstock. To be honest I would not have ever seen this in normal light - I only spotted it when I took some flash photos of the guitar.
On the reverse are a few signs of belt buckle damage, and there are a few tiny dinks on the front of the guitar, but none of the marks are through the lacquer, or affect playability, and as you can see it is still a fabulous looking instrument. The neck break does not affect playing or tuning or sound in any way - but it is there and needs to be mentioned clearly.
OK That's the negatives out of the way… The positives are, it's a great playing instrument - the slim '60's neck and ebony fingerboard make this a dream to play. Add to that the fact that someone has upgraded the pickups to Burstbucker Pros - and it's starting to be something more than "Just another Gibson…."
The neck and frets are in great condition, currently set up with Ernie Ball 10's (Brand new strings - only used for setup purposes). All electronics are fully functional and crackle free. I've carried out my favourite mod and upgraded the tone capacitors to Sprague "Orange Drop " capacitors - which I believe give a much better range of tonal variation than the cheap ceramic stock capacitors. Low action, slim '60's neck.
And before anyone asks - yes the guitar is shown with Schaller strap buttons - but I will send it with stock Gibson buttons unless you want the Schaller's specifically.

POSH Guitars, UK
Philip's Old Second Hand Guitars (POSH Guitars) Has arisen not only out of my indefatigable enthusiasm for all things wooden with strings, but also from my love of music and creativity.
I firmly believe in a Creator God , who in his creativity gave us a gift. That gift being music, and in our expression of music we give voice to our passion for God.
I am not a company, but I buy guitars of a high quality, use them for a while and then sell them on. Sometimes this allows me to make a small profit, and I shift that profit on into financing the supply of quality instruments for Christian Musicians who are actively working in a recognised Church fellowship.
In this regard I'm happy to announce that Harvey Gerlitz has allowed me to distribute his Guitar Care Products in the UK, and hopefully through these establish a finance base to expand this mission.
In addition to resourcing Christian worship and creativity, 10% of any profits will be automatically passed on to financing Christian work in Africa, building orphanages to care for the victims of the AIDS epidemic there.
All items purchased will be despatched within 24 hours of received payment. Postage in the UK is by First Class postage, outside the UK it's by Air Mail.
