Gibson / Les Paul Studio Contour / 2012 / Trans Red / Guitar

The similarity between this guitar and a Yellow- Billed Yacky Jobber is, we've never seen either before. At first, we thought this was a regular old Studio until we flipped it over and saw the belly contour on the back. Then, the trussrod cover revealed itself to say "Contour" and we knew we had something special. No electronics cavity and what looks to be a Les Paul Supreme input jack plate- now we were even more intrigued. It's an odd bird (no pun intended) for sure, but a unique and great- sounding Les Paul without a doubt. It weighs in at 8 lbs, 9 oz, so although we're certain it's chambered, the weight is very near the "holy grail" weight for a 'Paul. The guitar sounds stout and confident- attributes that you see in most higher- end Les Pauls, but as I stated previously, the guitar spoke to us from early on at it's arrival. Man, I gotta think that somewhere our there in Gibson land, there's a guitarist that is looking for something different than another flametopped Standard and he/she wants it at around the 1k mark. For that special player, we say "Welcome" and here is the piece you have been looking for.
