This is an ultra cool & excedingly rare example of Gibson’s infamous Les Paul “TV” finished Special for 1956. Its original wheat colored Limed Mahogany see-thru TV Yellow finish is the rarest Custom Color Gibson has ever offered mostly during the 1955-1960 period on the single & double-cut Les Paul Jr’s & Specials. It’s really a clean example in all respects. Its 1 piece mahogany body & fat neck feel delicious as she plays great. This happens to be 1 of the best sounding Les Pauls on Earth as its now loaded w/2 super powerful c.1959 PAF pickups (yes w/its original PAF stickers) that all guitar players need in at least 1 of their arsenal of guitars. It has a real ’59 ‘Burst tone on a budget. Its single cutaway body is quite popular & she still sports her small factory black pickgard which is also quite clean. She has her original pots w/4 cool black knobs. Its last owner had set this up to play w/some Grover tuners making an incredible user friendly guitar. Overall she’s an exceptionally clean Special & she comes in a generic hard case.
