GIBSON NIGHTHAWK 2010 (MODEL DSN10) - single cutaway Nighthawk-style chambered poplar body, AAA figured maple top, cream body binding, set maple slim profile neck, 22-fret bound Granadillo fingerboard with acrylic dot inlays, black headstock overlay with MOP Gibson logo and torch inlay, three-per-side vintage-style tuners with pearloid buttons, Nighthawk 2010 bridge with six individual saddles, STB, two exposed humbucker pickups (neck: Burstbucker 1, bridge: Burstbucker 2) and one single coil blade pickup (middle), two amber knobs (v with push/pull coil tap, tone with push/pull coil tap), five-way pickup switch, gold hardware, available in Chicago Blue, Memphis Mojo, or St. Louis Sauce finish, hardshell case included, mfg. 2010-present. I say…. Aaargh – one of the hazards of buying second hand guitars is that not everyone is as honest as me! – I bought this beautiful looking piece and only after I had tried to set it up did I realise that the reason the neck pickup sounded thin was because only one coil was working!! SO – as always I try and turn a pigs ear into a silk purse. I bought a brand new set of Seymour Duncan Hot Rodded Humbuckers. These are a matched set that consist of aClassic combination of SH-2n Jazz pickup in the neck and a SH-4JB in the bridge – with 4 conductor wiring. I’ve managed to reuse all the original electrics in the guitar and the result is just stunning. If - You like fender scale length necks. Fancy a thicker sound than Fenders usually give. Don’t want to look like you’re using a Fender Want all the comfort contours of a Fender Possibly find some guitars a “Bit Big” – it’s not that you’re short it’s just that the guitars are designed by cavemen! Really you fancy a Les Paul – but would miss your Fender style sounds THEN THIS COULD BE FOR YOU! The Seymour Duncan pickups have made a huge difference – much more tight and controlled bottom end - shimmering highs, switch to Bridge and add the dirt and it’s pure Les Paul – I can’t quite believe it! The guitar has a 5 position Blade switch that gives 1. Neck HB 2. Neck and S/C middle 3. Middle pickup 4. Middle and Bridge 5. Bridge HB Add to this that the volume and tone knobs coil tap the humbuckers - allowing almost Fender S***t sounds in position 2 and 4! If it was a little bigger this might have been my perfect guitar! but obviously I therefore fall into the caveman category that I mentioned before! It comes with an almost unmarked Gibson Hardcase, Packing certificate and owners manual. There are two tiny superficial scratches that I can see, but the marks in the photos are just that I haven’t cleaned it well enough – I’ll replace these photos later when I get chance. £875 including Hardcase and insured shipping in the UK

Philip's Old Second Hand Guitars (POSH Guitars) Has arisen not only out of my indefatigable enthusiasm for all things wooden with strings, but also from my love of music and creativity.

I firmly believe in a Creator God , who in his creativity gave us a gift. That gift being music, and in our expression of music we give voice to our passion for God.

I am not a company, but I buy guitars of a high quality, use them for a while and then sell them on. Sometimes this allows me to make a small profit, and I shift that profit on into financing the supply of quality instruments for Christian Musicians who are actively working in a recognised Church fellowship.

In this regard I'm happy to announce that Harvey Gerlitz has allowed me to distribute his Guitar Care Products in the UK, and hopefully through these establish a finance base to expand this mission.

In addition to resourcing Christian worship and creativity, 10% of any profits will be automatically passed on to financing Christian work in Africa, building orphanages to care for the victims of the AIDS epidemic there.
