This 2001 Gibson "Pigskin" Les Paul Limited Edition was 1 of only 3 produced by the Custom Shop in collaboration w/Wilson Sporting Goods. It has the classic feel and looks we have come to love about the Les Paul but w/an actual Leather made top complete w/lace binding & details used for making their NFL Footballs. It has a nice Dark Brown satin finished 1 piece mahogany body & a matching 1 piece mahogany neck w/its Custom Shop logo on the back of its headstock. She’s also only the 2nd Gibson guitar we’ve encountered w/a branded “Roadworn” stamp on the back of its headstock between the tuners. These were 1-off guitars that Gibson sold at the “Roadworn” Auction back in 2006. She’s adorned w/all chrome hardware to compliment its groovy white striped & bound Textured Leather Top. She’s got a pair of Gibson installed Humbucking pickups that sound great. Its got 4 gold speed knobs, a three-way selector switch & a Stop Tailpiece. The bound Rosewood fingerboard has beautiful white double parallelogram inlays. Its Kluson tuners hold tune well. A perfect example for that picky Les Paul lover & Football Fan adding unusual pieces to his collection. Hank Williams Jr. has the prototype but Gibson has no exact recored of ever making these. She’s truly near mint overall & comes in its original black molded hard shell case.
