I remember back in the days of the mighty Flame Wars when a guitar of this stature would bring a king's ransom (or what I thought was so). That was how a Les Paul would be advertized then and I remember the full- page spreads in Vintage Guitar Magazine on nothing but the allure and beauty of these tops. Those adverts would always leave me scratching my head because first of all, did anyone ever stop to think of even playing these guitars? Secondly, because they were featured so prominently for their beauty, how could one ever consider them as a working instrument? Like anyone would ever jam on a Les Paul, right? To me, those ads were saying "all style with no substance", hence the puzzling effect it had on me. Friends, that is not the case with this exceptional guitar; It has the guttural growl of a Lion on the Serengeti and the exquisite beauty of Marilyn Monroe. It is the earliest 1993 Pre- Historic we've ever encountered and was a special order for a large dealer during the period.
