Gibson Replica / Les Paul Standard '57 Reissue / 1980 / Goldtop / Guitar

Ca. late 1970s / early 1980s Gibson Les Paul '57 Reissue Replica, goldtop. Made in Japan, serial number 73150. According to a previous owner, this is a Tokai LS-100 from the golden era (late 70s / early 80s) that was completely reworked to get closer to the actual thing. We think it might be a replica from another brand (Greco, Burny etc) or even a custom order as the long neck tenon looks much more like the real deal from the 1950s than any other MIJ replica we've seen, the neck shape is also huge and very realistic. Here's what we do know: full nitro refinish, perfectly matched two-piece back, one-piece neck, new Madagascar fretboard with as new frets, Gibson logo, CTS pots, Gotoh aluminum tailpiece, Gotoh ABR-1 bridge, real vintage Sprague Bumblebee tone caps, ca. 1995 Gibson Burstbucker neck pickup, ca. mid 1970s Gibson Patent No. stamped bridge pickup. Sounds absolutely stellar and plays like butter. Somebody put well over 2000 bucks in this guitar just with the work and parts, and they knew what they were doing. The stinger on the back of the headstock looks cool from a distance, but it was probably applied later as the work isn't as nice as on the rest of the guitar. Comes with a deluxe brown deluxe hardshell case. Weighs only 4.15kg.
