Owned by Wayne Armond of the band “Chalice”, 1974, this is a very rare example that are getting quite scarce these days, its Walnut finish is nicely faded & has a cool slightly worn patina, its 3 factory patent stamped Humbuckers are quite potent & warm sounding, its 3 piece mahogany neck feels great as its ebony fingerboard has been refretted replacing its fretless wonder frets & a brass nut has been added for more sustain, all of its gold parts have some wear as usual, this is a unique SG in the fact that is has been owned by one of Jamaica’s most famous Reggae stars, Wayne Armond, the creator & original member from the band Chalice for the last 40 years, Chalice has been huge on the “Rock” for decades & has been a Worldwide phenomenon ever since, rarely do any guitars come from a Reggae Star so jump on this if you can especially if you are an SG Custom fan, it is excellent overall & comes with its original Gibson Gig Bag.
