Gibson / SG Deluxe / 1971 / See-Thru Cheery Red / Guitar

This is one of those early production SG Deluxes which were essentially a SG Std. w/smaller block inlays, many of you guys never knew these were even made. Its original faded see-thru Cherry finish is in excellent shape having some nice weather checking all over. Its a very rare example w/a white bound rosewood fingerboard on a 3 piece Mahogany neck w/a volute & a 1 piece very grainy mahogany body. Its loaded w/a pair of factory pat.# stamped Humbuckers that sound amazing. She’s also still sporting her original early 70’s only multi layered Black Les Paul pickgard & control cavity cover on its front side. Along w/its witch hat knobs, she actually looks cool today as she was a failure when new. She has her original pots dated to 1971-2. It retains a set of factory Grover tuners & top loaded Bigsby vibrato. This is a great guitar for that guy that wants to enjoy it for the next 50 years ! Other than some basic edge wear, she’s really pretty nice shape. She’s excellent overall & comes in its original Black tolex hard case.
