Gibson / SG Junior / 1962 / Polaris White / Guitar
This is a SUPERB vintage 100% original with no breaks 1962 Gibson SG Junior in original polaris white that has the original finish with no touch ups and a period correct Gibson soft shell case.
It is very good condition, there are some dings here and there, some wear marks and some finish checking. The pickguard has the usual shrinkage and is slightly warped but nothing serious.
There has never been any kind of Maestro, Vibrola or any other tone destroying tailpiece ever fitted to this guitar and there has never been any headstock or neck/body joint repair or any king of jack area repair. It has a very solid, un-stressed neck joint that is rare to see on these guitars. There is not even any smiley ‘stress cracks’ anywhere too. Case looks like original but parts of the lining has been added too with some yellow soft lining. Maybe this is why it has survived this long.
All electrics are original with a great sounding P-90 pickup. Finish has faded in a few places but it is still a lush looking polaris white and all hardware is 100% original with no changes ever. Original tuners etc. All together a great, straight guitar with lost of life left on frets, plays very well too. Serial number is 59232 and all solder is undisturbed. Weight is a featherweight 3.7Kg
