Gibson / SG Junior / 1965 / Cherry / Guitar For Sale
1965 Gibson SG Junior for your viewing pleasure..
This guitar looks killer. The finish hasn’t faded at all, as you can see from the pictures. There are a few minor dings but nothing too extensive. No signs of any breaks or repairs.
The neck is in excellent condition. Interestingly this guitar has a 1 11/16” width nut, making this an early example from 1965 as Gibson transitioned in that year to the narrower 1 9/16” nut width. There are no signs of breaks or repairs either on the headstock join or on the neck/body join. The frets are in excellent shape and the guitar plays really well with a good action.
Plastics are in excellent shape.
Electrically everything looks correct. The pickup has been rewound.
The guitar comes with a hardshell case
Sonically this guitar is so much more than a 'student' guitar.. A great rock n roll machine, this guitar just screams. The neck is so comfortable being a classic, favoured 1964 profile and reassuringly full, just inviting you to play anywhere.
Have a look at the pictures, I think you will agree it is a lovely example of a killer guitar…
