Gibson / SG Special / 1975 / Alpine White / Guitar

Early 1975 Gibson SG Special, alpine white. Serial number 868835 (this one's hard to read, the first three digits could also be 983). This is an extremely rare version of the short lived SG Deluxe model, we've never seen one in alpine white finish before. It still features a mahagony neck and the original patent no. mini-humbuckers with black covers. We think these are some of the best sounding mini-humbuckers out there because they came with slightly bigger polepieces. The guitar would have a much bigger price-tag if it weren't for a neck reset and the changed knobs, bridge, tailpiece and tuners. It looks a very old neck reset and oddly enough the finish in that area is much shinier, so we can't exclude an overspray of some sort - BUT: the white 1976 Explorer we also have in stock has the exact same odd differentes shades in the paint and it's 100% original. There is some visible fretwear, but no buzzing or tuning issues are present (looks worse than it is really, especially with the factory flat frets). Weighs 2.9kg
