Once in a while in this vintage guitar business you get something in that is really quite special and you really have a struggle on your hands deciding if you should sell or not as you KNOW you are unlikely to see another…. This is anUNREAL vintage original circa 1965 Gibson SG Standard in original Custom Colour Polaris White that has the original black, shaped SG case and is a real beauty in every way.

It is in excellent condition, there are some small dings here and there including a buckle gash on the back and some wall hanger rub marks on the side of the headstock wings. Both of these areas have been lightly touched up but all other paintwork is 100% original, hardly faded and oh so rare….

Everything checks out on this guitar, it has been examined closely by more than one person and blacklights perfectly. I am also more than happy for you to have it examined by your own ‘expert’  and am offering a full momey back guarantee guitar is as described.

All electrics are original with two great sounding, original humbucker pickups of the PAT sticker type. Finish is in excellent shape with no apparant checking at all. There are no repairs, breaks or stress cracks anywhere and I think the guitar has been hanging on display for a lot of it’s life which is a shame, because it plays superbly well and sounds terrific. Very tasty in fact - just like a juicy super rare, prime Young Angus steak.

All together a great, straight guitar with none of the usual broken neck or headstock issues and super duper rare to boot. Weight is a fantastic 3.2Kg, nut width is 41mm with a classic slim taper neck. Serial number is 800922 and the pot codes I can read are all 29th week of 1965.

If you are a serious collector, you will appreciate how difficult it is to come across one of these. I am more than happy to price match if you find another somewhere else cheaper, but somehow I think that may be a bit of a challenge…
