Gibson / SG Standard / 1969 / Cherry / Guitar

Early, one piece neck, 1969 Gibson SG Standard with no breaks or repairs and in really nice condition? well why not..

This SG, favored by the likes of Angus Young, is everything you want in a classic, later 60’s guitar with tons of character. It has been played, yes, but unlike a fair few out there it has not been abused to the extent of needing any neck or headstock surgery.

It is all correct, aside from a very good recent refret, only showing slight wear on the back with some gorgeous checking all over. The finish has faded a little but still retains the red hue which in fact enhances the grain.

Neck and fretboard are in great shape too, a recent refret giving this guitar a new lease of life. The nut too has been replaced.

Hardware is in great shape showing little or no discolouration. Trem works well and does stay largely in tune and is perfectly usable.

All solder is intact so there has never been any other pickups installed. A pair of killer sounding PAT number stickered pickups top the whole thing off.

Included is a late 70's / early 80's Gibson SG hard case.

Good to see an Angus type SG at this price point with no breaks or repairs and still having original electrics and hardware and correct case. We are sure it will look great slung around the neck of many a lively rock band who strive for that authentic classic rock sound…
