Gibson / SG Standard / 1969 / Cherry Red / Guitar

This is a SUPERB vintage original Vintage 1969 Gibson SG Standard in original and faded cherry red that has a slightly later Gibson SG hardshell case.
It is very good condition, there are some dings here and there and some finish checking but it is not too bad, I have seen a lot worse for a late sixties SG!
It is all original apart from the tuners which have been changed to a nice old set of Pat Pend Grovers and there are a couple of original 50’s Sprague grey caps (like you see on the early 50’s Les Pauls). One strap button has been replaced too.
Classic slim taper neck with a 41mm nut width very comfortable with plenty of life left on the wide frets and hardly any fingerboard wear. There is buckle rash on the back and wear spots on the back of the neck but again, I have seen a lot worse.
There are no breaks or repairs anywhere on it and all finish is original as are the pickups (pat number sticker) and electrics apart from the aforementioned caps. The knobs on it may be slightly older too but are totally correct for a mid 60’s SG Standard and are more valuable, plus look nicer than the witch hat type you would expect to see!
Seems no one these days can sell a late 60’s SG Standard without mentioning the ‘Angus' word so there you go… I just have.
Included is a late 70’s SG original hard case with Gibson logo that is a bit tatty will protect it well.
