Gibson / SJ-200 / 1951 / Natural / Guitar

The King of the Flattops, Gibson's SJ-200. This is one of 73 natural SJ-200's shipped in '51 and it's the nicest sounding SJ-200 I think we've ever had. Wonderful depth and resonance, with a fantastic balance. Perfect for strumming and equally as good fingerpicked.

Beautifully figured curly Maple back and sides and a close grained spruce top in a natural finish that has honeyed and crazed over the years creating what is a stunning looking instrument.

With a 4 3/4" body depth, double X-Bracing with ladder style tone bars and long bridge plate, this guitar has a powerful, loud and resonant tone.

A superb instrument with excellent investment potential. Complete with period Lifton case.
