This is 1 rare Gretsch Jumbo Flat Top model we've not had before this one nor ever heard of any others. Its huge body looks fabulous in its Dark Sunburst finish over a very nice Spruce Top, its got quite a grainey striped Mahogany back & sides, its got a nice feeling mahogany neck w/a pretty rosewood fingerboard & bridge, very cool large original tortoise’gard, its original tuners were replaced w/a set of gold its Schaller tuners that work well, quite a fabulous sounding guitar w/huge bass response better than any Jumbo Gibson or Martin, we have never seen another one of these before, they were made only between 1969 & 1971, this is such a rare Flat Top designated a model "6009" that its not even listed in most any books on Gretsch nor their price lists, its a very interesting alternative to a J-45 or a J-200, its excellent overall & comes w/a its ultra rare original Gray Tolex/ Red lined hard case.
