Gorgeous Orange finish is still very bright & has some very pretty figured maple on its front, back & sides, it has a 2 ½” body depth, its it is equipped with the earliest type “PAF” (“patent applied for”) stamped Filter’tron pickups, it has a rosewood fingerboard w/Neo-Classic Thumb Print inlays & the famous “Zero” fret, this iconic example of a 6120 is the most desirable version next to the infamous collectible “G” Brand type from 1954, this is pretty much the players Holy Grail as the likes of Brian Setzer prefers this exact year & specs for his famous guitar antics, in fact his new reissues are like this version, it has a horseshoe inlayed headstock & a smooth & clean 3 piece neck, its has gold sculpted pickup surrounds, its cool gold pickgard sports a “Chet Atkins” signpost & has a teeny crackle by the screw that holds the bracket in place, its chrome bar bridge & “V” cutout Bigsby vibrato are near perfect shape, its gold open back tuners work well & its arrow pointer knobs are clean & all in place, its original label is still in perfect shape, this is one of the cleanest original 6120’s we have had in years & it is ready for its next caretaker, truly exceptionally clean & all original, comes w/its original gray speckled hard case.
