This is the 1st type of Chet Atkins 6120 w/a gorgeous Orange finish that is still very deep & bright, it has a full body depth, its it is equipped with a pair of the earliest type D’Armond pickups, it has a rosewood fingerboard w/a set of block inlays from the 1st fret sporting the coolest Western type “Cow & Cactus” engraved inlays, this iconic example of a 6120 is the most desirable version made from 1954 thru this example in 1956, this is pretty much the players Holy Grail as every guitar player on Earth wants to own at least one of these in their lifetime!, it has a “Steer Head” inlaid headstock & a smooth & clean 3 piece neck, it also has the ultimate “G” Brand burned into the body, its cool gold pickgard sports a “Chet Atkins” signpost, its gold open back tuners work well & its arrow pointer knobs are clean & all in place, its got a factory installed fixed arm Bigsby Vibrato, its original label is still in perfect shape, this is one of the coolest original 6120’s we have had in years & it is ready for its next caretaker, now having its neck reset & a few spots of binding put back in place, other than having some play wear & a good amount of weather checking, she is excellent & all original, comes w/its original White Cowboy hard case.
