Gretsch / 6189 Streamliner / 1956 / Bamboo Yellow / Copper Mist / Guitar

1956 Gretsch 6189 Streamliner - Bamboo Yellow / Copper Mist incl. orig. grey hardshell case

Nice and clean 1956 Gretsch 6189 Streamliner in 2-tone Bamboo Yellow / Copper Mist in all original and excellent /- near mint condition for its age. The Streamliner is a shortlived model built only between 1955 and 1957. The body-construction is actually similar to the 6120 Chet Atkins, why many of the 6189 where "converted" to the much more costly 6120 model. The Streamliner features the highest quality "Melita Synchro Sonic" bridge and upscale fretboard inlays, the pickup was made by DeArmond, which sounds fantastic in this guitar. The rare custom color "Bamboo Yellow with its Copper Mist finished sides and back is in perfect shape and is one of the rarest finishes available. Only some very minor playwear mostly on the backside of the body and some little weatherchecking on the finish, no repairs, cracks or other hidden damages. The original frets are still in perfect shape, nice and comfortable med. C-shape maple-neck with bound rosewood fretboard and "humb block" inlays. Rare and way underrated, yet affordable 50s Vintage Guitar in stunning condition for less money than most new Custom Shop models cost! Including original grey Gretsch hardshell case w/purple plush interior.
