This is 1 of the most popular Country Club models from Gretsches very earliest production, its Sunburst finish is nice having some players wear all over, its 2 D’Armond pickups are super smooth & have that fantastic bold tone one can only hope for from these fabulous Club’s, its got a factory pearloid Block inlaid ebony fingerboard, its got some wear from plenty of enjoyment over the last 65 years, its original Gold pickgard looks great & has no cracks, its got worn Gold hardware, it has an original set of “ribbed” back Kluson tuners that work quite well, it still sports her original 1st issue plain knobs w/arrow pointers other than 1 from the late 60’s, its metal saddle bridge intonates well & its “G” cutout Tailpiece in clean shape, its label inside is still legible, its got untouched electronics, its very good overall other than some restoring needed from its shrinking headstock & body binding in need of regluing, it also has some touchup on its lower bottom side now sporting a LP jack plate, just in from its last 30+ year ownership, she comes with a decent hard case.
