Gretsch / 7620 / 1974 / Orange / Guitar
Gretsch G7620 Country Roc Western Electric Guitar, 1974, RARE, EC
In the late 60s and early 70s many guitar players were not entirely happy with their instruments. They felt the quality of the then current production models were not on par with the instruments of the 50s and 60s (the buyouts of Fender by CBS en Gretsch by Baldwin were probably part of the issue), and spearheaded what we now know as the vintage guitar movement. Gretsch picked up on this trend with several models that features a distinct Western theme that reminded of the Round Up models of the 50s. There was the Roc Jet which was introduced in 1969, and the Country Roc which was introduced in 1974. This guitar is an example of the latter, made in 1974 according to the code on the potmeters; "137-7444". This is very rare guitar, hard to tell how many were made, but not many for sure. This 1974 Country Roc re-embraces cowboy culture with the G brand on the top of the guitar, studded leather around the sides, G-cutout tailpiece with beltbuckle and horseshoe inlay on the fretboard and headstock. The pickups are Super'Trons which are a little hotter then the usual Filter'Trons. The Country Roc is an extremely rare guitar and was only made for around 7 years with production ceasing in 1979 thus making this guitar a truly rare beast. The guitar is entirely original. Condition is excellent with playwear matching its age, dings on the headstock even a small chip next to the binding, but overall very clean, the bridge has a typical bow although the saddles compensate the bow. Plays and sounds absolutely fantastic. Comes with the original snakeskin Gretsch case.

The Fellowship Of Acoustics, Netherlands
ABOUT US
I have always been opposed to being trapped into a job eight hours a day to purchase the free time to do what I enjoy. That’s why i started the Fellowship of Acoustics. The fellowship of acoustics was founded by Rudi Bults, Guitarist and obsessed with tone and wood. The idea was offering real expertise when trading and selling the finest instruments in the world from our showroom in Bergentheim, Netherlands. Helping others find the right tools and enjoying an atmosphere that’s unhurried, honest and informative that’s my go. We are nothing like the "supermarket" style music stores, but specialize in string-things only. We are widely known for Flattop guitars but also sell electric, mandolins & banjo’s, amps, parts, and accessories. Our store has earned the reputation for being a great place to shop for the best products and service.
It is our hope that this new website - much more than a list of "gear" for sale - will serve as an example of our commitment to offering a more personal approach, a friendly atmosphere, and an ultimately more satisfying experience for our friends and customers.
If you have any questions just dial +31-523-232205 or e-mail info@thefellowshipofacoustics.com My name is Rudi Bults, and I’m always here to help out. Wherever possible, we would recommend that you visit our store and experience our instruments and service first hand. However, because of our high standards you can be confident of ordering online from us. We hope you enjoy your visit to our site, and welcome your feedback.
