Gretsch Guitars / Corvette / 1965 / Cherry / Guitar

Up for sale is a vintage circa 1965 Gretsch Corvette guitar, known for its sleek design and versatile sound. This particular model has been well-loved and well-played, with some cosmetic wear and tear on the body and neck, which only adds to its authentic vintage charm.

The guitar has been modified with newer pots, which provide a smoother, more precise tone control, and a more consistent sound throughout the range of the volume knob. The pickups, bridge, and tuners are all original and in excellent working condition.

The body is made of lightweight mahogany, with a classic double-cutaway design that offers easy access to the higher frets. The guitar features the usual Gretsch solid body neck joint with a rosewood fingerboard and 22 frets, and a sleek, glossy finish in a nice deep red color. The frets are in good condition, showing only minor signs of wear.

As you can see from the pics, there are dings and dongs in various places on the guitar but nothing structural. With a weight of just 3.16Kg, no one is going to complain about this..!

This Gretsch Corvette has a distinctive sound that ranges from warm and mellow to bright and biting, making it an excellent choice for a variety of music styles, from rock and blues to country but maybe not so much Jazz. The guitar comes with a gig bag, the original case being lost many years ago.

Overall, this vintage Gretsch Corvette is a fantastic guitar with a unique character and a rich history, perfect for collectors, players, and music lovers alike. Whether you're looking for a vintage gem to add to your collection or a high-quality instrument to take on stage, this Gretsch Corvette is sure to impress.
