Gretsch / New Yorker / 1951 / Sunburst / Guitar
Fascinating story: this guitar was brought to Italy by an American who eventually swapped for a Sicilian guitar back in the 50s. Then it was made into an electric ( you can see an ancient three pole Geloso jack ). Now it is back to acoustic and it sounds real good; maybe because the replacement tailpiece makes good contact with the top. The owner's son took it to my shop a few decades later. A true road warrior that needs fret work and a little TLC
