The unsung hero of the arch top guitars are these 17" beauties from Guild. This is a gorgeous Natural Gold hardware including Grover Imperial tuners. Nice combination of acoustic archtop excellence and just enough amplification to enable the working pro to play anywhere. This guitar was built in 1993 at the Westerly, Rhode Island facility which Guild occupied from 1966 until 2001. and it is in Mint condition. It features a hand-carved select solid spruce top and carved Flamed (fiddle-back) maple body, a multi-piece flamed maple neck with a fully bound ebony fingerboard decorated with abalone triangles inside pearl block inlays, and a stylish art deco headstock with multi-piece bindings and a signature abalone block inlay inset with a pearl logo nameplate. Additionally, the top and back are fully bound with a multi-piece pattern similar to that on the headplate, and the tortoise pickguard is also bound and has attached to it a single volume control and a single floating humbucker with a gold cover plate. Finally, this guitar is fitted with gold Imperial Grover tuning machines, an ebony bridge system, and it has a 1 11/16" nut width and 25 1/2" scale length.
