Guild / Artist Award / 1995 / Natural / Guitar
This is something you really do not come across every day… This is a STUNNING and UNPLAYED 1995 Guild Artist Award model in blonde with original case, tags, inspection card etc and includes the original flat wound strings that are still usable!
Yes, this is totally unbeleivable but it is part of an entire collection of high end jazz guitars that we have just bought from a collector in mainland Europe who purchased them all during the late 90’s and NEVER PLAYED THEM!! They are true, closet classics in near MINT condition (just a few handiling marks) and have already got 16+ vintage years on them.
This has spent it’s entire time since it was bought new in 1995, inside it’s case so there is NO fading and NO wall hanger or stand marks. The only marks I can see is a bit of tarnishing on the gold plated tailpiece. Please have a look at the many pictures.
The woodwork is perfect, ther are no dings, dongs or worming or anything else anywhere on it at all. It really does look pretty much brand new - you just have to take a deep breath and gasp when you open the case...
It is impeccably set up, plays and sounds perfect. There is a good reason these cost so much and when you see these close up and personal you can clearly see why this is...
These amazing, hand built guitars were only made in Rhode Island up to 2001 and a total of 1,600 were hand made over a period of 40 years, by the finest craftsmen using the finest materials including carved spruce top etc… A real rival for the Gibson L-5 WM and it sounds totally fabulous.
This is probably the best avaible example on the planet too - if you wanted to find a finer example you would need to get hold of a time machine...
