Guild / DE-400 Duane Eddy / 1966 / See-Thru Cherry Red / Guitar For Sale
Here we have a gorgeous 100% original 1966 Guild DE-400ch Duane Eddy model in a Cherry Red finish. This is a 1st issue model w/very early specs w/early stamped serial number & a Rosewood fingerboard. Its quite a rare example of the base model DE not quite as fancy as their DE-500 models. Its got a Dreamy full-feeling straight 3-piece Mahogany neck (with a slice of maple in-between) & white pearl block inlays. She’s got her original Grover tuners. She’s also sporting her original adjustable metal bridge, cool chrome capped knobs & its original black cool shaped pickgard. She has a pair of amazing sounding Guild Humbucking pickups w/adjustable polepieces & a Guild branded Bigsby vibrato. The original white multi-laminated bindings all over are incredibly clean showing no shrinkage nor signs of repairs. Her minty original oval label states its facts. She’s one of the best originals left in truly exceptionally clean overall condition & comes in a just as clean original Black hard case.
