Hofner / 500/1 Beatle Bass / 1964 / Sunburst / Bass
We have been the experts on Hofner Beatle basses since the late 80's when no one including the Hofner factory, could tell you the differences between a 1963 & a 1964 500/1, thios example has been in our museum display for the last 6 years, it's faded Sunburst finish looks beautiful, it has the staple polepiece pickups wrapped by the smalller pickup bezels, it has a bound fingerboard & a raised logo, it has 4 individual open back tuners w/the white plastic buttons, missing it's pickgard (as usual), currently strung up "righty" so we could play it, it is 100% original & from the stage, it appears just like the bass Paul still plays today, excellent, newer hard case.
