1971 Höfner Model 470 SE/3 - Stereo - Natural incl. brown hardshell case

Rare and super clean 1971 Höfner Model 470 SE/3 - Stereo in Natural finish. Undoubtedly the most desirable Hofner is the famous "Golden" which where made by Hofner for Selmer and only available in the UK. For the "Rest of the World" Hofner produced the 470 as their "top of the line" model, which looks basically like a "Golden" but has the 1" smaller Committee-sized body and the smaller post-63 headstock. It still has similar features as the extensive Golden body-binding and purfling, as well as the beautiful engraved hardware, most beautiful flamed maple in combination with a spruce top, 3 Hofner "staple-pickups", the two outer PUs can be selected by the lower controlpanel, the middle PU can be controlled seperatly by an aditional control-panel and aditional outlet jack. This way, the guitar can be played stereo on two seperate amplifiers, or the middle PU can be blended in by using a special Stereo cable (supplied with the guitar). Nice to play and great sound. The guitar is in excellent condition for its age and plays perfect. Including brown hardshell case.
