Ibanez / PM100 Pat Metheny / 1999 / Black / Guitar
Introduced in 1996, the Pat Metheny series was Pat’s first range of instruments with the Japanese manufacturer having been playing their guitar from the early 80s. Featuring a sixteen and half inch fully hollow body, the PM100 was the flagship example, as used by the man himself.
This guitar is in fantastic condition with very little signs of wear on the body save for some very minor dings and scratches. There are no signs of damage or repair.
The neck too is in great shape, retaining the lush sheen as you expect from a poly finish. The fretboard and original frets are in good shape too with plenty of life left in the frets.
Hardware is tarnished a little as you expect with gold plated parts. There is some minor corrosion on the screws holding the pickup surround.
Electrically everything is correct. The Super 58 pickup looks to be undisturbed.
The guitar comes with its correct hardshell case.
The guitar is a joy to play. Upper fret access isn’t an issue with the additional cutaway and the Super 58 pickup really shines providing a wonderful foil to the hollow body.
A great guitar in fantastic condition, grab it before it gets away…
