This one had us stumped for a minute because, although we've seen and played more than our share of 80's metal guitars, they usually followed a pattern when it came to features and details. Not so with this one and I had to make a couple of calls to two world- renowned shred gurus, M.L. and A.Z. The general consensus was the same when it came to this Jackson: it's a circa late 1988 Ontario Custom Shop piece that was either a special order or an artist guitar. It's got a Duncan JBJ in the front and a DCJ in the back, so you know it sounds killer and the neck is straight and as fast as a shark. Let's put it this way: it's unique and cool enough for us to see at a guitar show and immediately grab, so if you've been looking for an axe from the great glory days of Rock but wanted something a little different than the current reissues, this just may be the one you seek.
