When it comes to vintage Jackson guitars with graphics, there are common examples, there are rare ones and then there are the few completely custom, one- off examples. This '90 Soloist is the latter and you might not find a cooler guitar anywhere on the planet, especially if you're a Jackson fan. It was custom- built by Grover Jackson and his crew for a local musical legend, Mr. Wallace Reed. Wallace has been on the Atlanta scene for over four decades and has played with/ for such artists as The Marshall Tucker Band, The Platters, Joe South, Dionne Warwick, Little Eva (she recorded the original version of "The Locomotion"), John Mayer, Clay Cook, Billy Joe Royal, Dee Clark, The Beach Boys and The Drifters. He's basically laid licks for the best of them and we hold him in the highest of esteem. He and Lee recently got together and worked out a deal for this Soloist and I can honestly say that, if there is one thing Wallace is not, it's a Hair Metal guy! He had only played this guitar one time with the Marshall Tucker Band, so it's basically a literal, "under the bed closet queen"! Ultimately, if you are a collector of 80's and 90's American Jackson guitars, I can swear, attest, bet, promise, affirm and guarantee that you will never in your life find another guitar like this. It's a beautiful piece of Grover's craftsmanship with all the bells and whistles and if you ever wanted to play it, you'll be pleasantly surprised by both it's tone and playability.
