Three things come to mind when I see a snakeskin guitar. The first is, the late Randy Rhoad's guitar strap. Surely you guys recall Randy (all 120 pounds of him) holding that now famous Les Paul Custom up with that wide- ass snakeskin strap? The second thought, of course has to be of Warren DiMartini and his Charvel snakeskin Strat. Do you remember the first time your heard "Round and Round?" That tone was the stuff, like I was listening to Thin Lizzy on steroids. Just between us, did you ever indulge in a little air guitar at a red light while hearing the intro to "Lack of Communication?" Man, I get goose bumps just thinking about it: The scene, being young (with hair and lots of it) and just being able to hear it all on the radio. Ray says it all the time, "My daughter will never know what it was all about and that sucks for her." I agree with my partner- it does suck for her and too bad she missed all of that great music and those great bands. My third and final thought on this matter would be Poison. I know, before you email me and tell me I'm an idiot, C.C. DeVille played B.C. Rich guitars, but he actually did more for "graphics" guitars than anyone. I remember all those videos and  the slickly choreographed hip grinding teenage anthems. I just loved on how happy they (Poison) appeared. As you may also recall, at that time, Yngwie Malmsteen was very much on the scene and C.C. was ridiculed for his playing. I read the most brilliant comeback ever where, when asked about his technique, C.C. exclaimed that "There are probably brilliant guitarists, but mind you, they are flipping burgers as we speak." Like Paul Stanley once said, "The best revenge is living well."  Nice Paul and as far as C.C. is concerned, the last I checked, he still is a sellout;  He sells out everywhere they play, every night. So if you are reading this, I would assume you are in my age demographic and I already know what your thinking: You're thinking that you are way past that age of silly guitars and you have now acquired a sophisticated pallet. You have no time for jocularity and reminiscing. Instead, you've been overwhelmed in mortgage payments, job deadlines and jockeying your kids to and from soccer practice to realize that you are the "brick in the wall" that Floyd spoke of. Friends, buying this guitar is a call to arms, to actually get some of yourself back. That's what Ray and I do every time we go out on a Thursday night to see Queensryche in front of 1500 people. There are only a few of us left and as Ozzy would say, "Come on and join me."
